Joining the Billion plus Bloggers in Blogging Plethora Land

     I've dragged my feet and tried to avoid this whole 'social media' thing. I rationalize that everyone today is too reliant on computers! Shoot, when I was a teenager we didn't have computers! We didn't  have cable, or cell phones. The phones we did have had cords attached. If you had a really long cord you were in luck. You could go to the bathroom and talk on the phone at the same time. I realize by admitting this I've made myself irrelevant, outdated, old.    
     There is an oft overlooked advantage to age, however. It's experience, I'm worried about  the kids growing up in this 'techie' age. Will they ever actually meet their gaming buddies, or will their friends just be names on the drop down score menu of the latest video game? Will they find out before its too late that real cars wreck? They don't just drive back up on the highway and keep going, that real guns kill, the guy doesn't just fade away and reincarnate with all of his life points. FANTASY LAND, the place gaming perpetuates with so much success doesn't help us parent when we're trying to teach core life values to our children. Does anyone have a solution for this?
     Maybe I'll just go check my Facebook while I ruminate on the answer to this dilemma.
